and Stone Care was founded in 1986 by Master Terrazzo repair
expert, Phil Jones. Today, we continue Phil's insistence on quality
work and attention to detail not only in terrazzo repair and restoration,
but also in marble (including Travertine and Saturnia) and granite
tile floor cleaning, polishing, repair and restoration. As the
leading terrazzo, marble and granite restoration company in Florida,
we have turned restoration into a labor of love. Even our repair
work, such as removing those old ugly gouges, holes and stains,
is virtually flawless and therefore invisible!
Concrete Polishing
As a natural addition to our portfolio we added our Concrete Division.
A concrete floor no longer has to be the dusty, dull surface it
once was. Colonial Floor and Stone Care is now making concrete
as sophisticated a surface as the finest marble, using the most
advanced polishing and densifying systems and equipment.
Certified Retroplate System Applicator
Colonial Floor and Stone Care is a Certified Retroplate System
Applicator, one of only a handful in Florida, specializing in
concrete (yes, CONCRETE!!) floor polishing and acid staining.
Polished and/or acid stained concrete floors are the newest decorating
trend right now -- the only limit to your concrete floor is your

floors, but lovingly restore them to their original beauty. In

Colonial Floor and Stone Care is GREEN. We use only natural, environmentally
friendly products in the care and restoration of YOUR stone floors.
We do NOT put coatings of any kind on your stone floors. The natural
polishing procedure we perform will not turn ugly and yellow
or scratch over time.

Concrete Staining, Dying, Polishing and Concrete Overlay
Concrete
polishing has finally come of age and is fast becoming the
ultimate sophisticated, beautiful, practical floor for the home.
Recent advances in polishing equipment allows Colonial Floor and
Stone Care to grind new or old concrete surfaces to a new level
of gloss finish that NEVER needs waxes or coatings. This new hard
dense surface allows a better use of light due to the surface
reflectivity. A less expensive alternative to concrete polishing
is our improved concrete overlay process. This concrete overlay
has all the benefits of polished concrete and may be the answer
to your desire for a concrete floor.

Marble, Travertine, Granite and other Natural Stone Cleaning,
Restoration
and Polishing
Grinding, Honing, Cleaning and Polishing most types of stone surfaces
such as Marble, Travertine, Granite, Limestone, Onyx. Heavy Lippage
or Stock removal, crack and chip repair, scratch and stain removal,
fine polishing or conditioning.
Our restoration process is known as diamond grinding and honing,
which gives the stone better clarity and reflectivity than other
methods that can be used, such as the use of sanding screens,
honing powders or topical coatings. A stone floor that has been
restored this way will also retain its look longer than it will
with the use of other methods. This preferred method also means
that floors will have to be repolished every 4-6 years compared
to every 1-2 years (as with other methods). (More info on stone

Saltillo (Mexican Tile) Stripping and Restoration
Saltillo can also be restored or refinished to look brand new.
If your Saltillo is in disrepair, all surface finishes, waxes
and dirt can be chemically stripped. Once the original surface
is restored, your Saltillo can be sealed using any of a variety
of staining and coloring options that are available.

No matter how you spell it, we will get your terrazzo floor polished
and restored correctly the very first time. Colonial Floor and
Stone Care are the experts at terrazzo repair and restoration.
Our repair work, includes removing those old ugly gouges, holes,
cracks and stains invisible. We match the marble (terrazzo) chips
and binding material then grind it down and then polish the terrazzo
floors. The result is virtually flawless and invisible! We also
have a proprietary poultice that can remove most stains from terrazzo
floors.
Cuban or Ketchum Tile
If you are one of the lucky homeowners with Cuban (or Ketchum)
tile floors, we are the ones to call for restoration of these
unique floors. Our unique methods of restoration of these floors
make our company sought after - we give these floors a high shine
without using waxes.
